We had family / friends from overseas and decided to head over to switch for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place was about 60% full. We were assigned a table very quickly and efficiently, however from this point onwards the service deteriorated considerably. The waiter returned after ~30 minutes to take our drink orders, at which time we also ordered our mains. The food arrived after about an hour and a half at which point there must have been only 10-15 customers remaining, who looked just as frustrated at the lack of service. The waiters were enjoying a good laugh with the chefs, who simply did not seem interested. In most cases the food would be resting on the bench ready to be distributed, however the waiters were no where to be seen. The food arrived in shifts and the waiter did not even have the courtesy for a simple apology.
The food was horrible so that made our experience even worst. We complained to the manager, and he simply replied with a blank look, that we were very busy today. I can't imagine their service if the place was 100% capacity. Not the kind of impression we wanted to give our international guests, who will sadly leave with a sour experience.
Never again will switch have our business. A terrible place! I concur with the negative comments in this forum and I’m not sure how this place is still in business.

Sadly this venue for mother’s day was terrible. Their problem?... they got greedy. They cater for a particular number of covers (tables), on this occasion they overbooked the restaurant and did not add extra staff to support these bookings. 90 minutes I waited for a 'switch breakfast', finally when it did arrive it was cold (Yuk). It required reheating twice and upon its final return to me, only the yolk of the eggs survived! When I voiced my concern, I too was greeted with a blank stare from the manager. I refused to pay for the breakfast and had it deleted from our bill. Occasionally I return for coffee with friends, but am sad to say I won't trust switch with a special occasion. Since then I've switched venues.

My children booked a table at Switch for a Mother's Day lunch. What a disappointment.
Staff were disinterested and service was abysmally slow. We had to wait almost an hour after ordering, to receive our meals, some of which were almost cold. Meals were delivered in two "shifts," and the first "shift" had almost finished eating before the rest arrived.
We had to practically grab hold of the waitresses to order drinks.
However, when we requested the bill, this appeared in record time!
As I paid the bill, I mentioned my complaints, to be met by a blank stare and non-committal murmurings.
We will not be returning!

Very good all round.
Food was wonderful and very appetising to the eye.
Wait staff was young, attractive and looked like they were enjoying working there.
The music was loud but instead of being detrimental, it was infact a big plus.
Cocktails were fantastic, along witht he after dinner coffees.
Some may say the food took too long, but we went in on a saturday night, right at the peak of service with 300 other pleased customers. Personally I think the chefs did a wonderful job to keep producing such delicious food at such a busy time.
Our waiter, known as Junior by his managers, was simply great, especially for a student at only 16 years of age.
There is no doubt in my mind that I, along with my family, will be returning to this restaurant because every aspect enjoyment was thouroughly accounted for and then some.
I understand why they are renound as the best in the area, because they are simply better than the rest.
