Potential wasted

Creme was a disappointment. The food is nice, but I agree, the staff are often quite rude and inflexible. If you book a table there, especially on a big day (i.e. Mothers/Fathers Day) make sure you confirm, as they only ring you once, don't leave any message and will seat you however it suits them.

waste of time and money

My husband and I have given Creme quite a few chances over the last couple of years, but have always come away disappointed. The food is a bit up and down - not reliably good, but more to the point, the service is terrible. There's the occasionally friendly waiter or waitress but none of the staff actually seem trained in any way, shape or form. For example, on more than one occasion the cutlery has been brought out and just dumped in the middle of the table. How hard is it to set a table?? Once, we ordered some garlic bread and were given it with no side plates. When I asked for some side plates the waitress brought back...one. It probably sounds like I'm nitpicking but these are just a couple of examples of clueless service which ends in my husband and I staring at each other and sighing. I would love to support this local eatery but there'd have to be some changes before we'd go back.

I lived in Altona for a few years, and if you don't want to travel to Williamstown for breakfast Creme is a savior. Its a big open restaurant, can be loud at times and is often busy. But as long as you are not looking for a rushed meal, I think you will be happy with this casual yet cool little gem.

The breakfast lunch and dinner menu's offer extensive choices with many gluten free and vegetarian options. We never got bored trying something new each time. The italian hot chocolates in winter are a must, as are most of the deserts, and this is still one of the best priced places I've found, along with decent serving sizes and good people-watching placement.

Creme Fantastic As Always

I dine at creme regularly and find that I have never been disappointed. The food is always tasty and well presented. The staff are also friendly. There have been times where I have waited, but the restaurant was busy and therefore I expected a delay. My favourite meals would have to be the Chilli Calamari, Crème Salad and The Beef and Reef. I would highly recommend these dishes and the restaurant.
Go Crème!!

Creme never again also!!

Even though i have been there about 4 times in 2 or 3 years, definitely after last night's 17/1/09 visit i will never be back! Again the staff had a rudeness & an overall arrogant attitude. Also, could not believe how much their prices increased to the point where i felt financially violated.
The food really wasn't that good. Bye bye Creme!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They better be taking notice of these reviews if they care about the future of their restaurant.

Creme never again

Creme was by far one of the worst dining experiences I have encountered.
We ordered meals at 7 pm on a Sunday night, and it took until 8 pm (1 whole hour!!) for a calzone and cheeseburger to come out, and was told the next meal was to follow in just a minute. TWENTY minutes later the salad arrived, which at that point everyone else had finished their meals and I was left eating alone.
When complaining upon payment, we were rudely told that ‘it must have been because we came in at the same time as a big group came in’…no apologies, not a hint of regret, and spoken in a tone insinuating that it was our fault for coming in when creme was ‘supposedly’ busy.
Awful staff, furthermore still had to pay the entire bill for such horrible service.
You’d be better off heading to McDonalds next time you feel like a cheeseburger.
