we used to order lovely cakes here all the time. tim tam cakes, mars bar cakes. they were very good. they would give really big servings, and fair enough as they charge $7 a piece. but the last time we were there, we were expecting a big piece to be cut for us. we asked who seemed to be the manager, to cut us a generous piece. he replied by saying "have you been here before? then you should know we give generous pieces". when we got the cake, we found it to be smaller than usual. we decided to complain about it, but the response we had from the manager was, "hey we have to make money somehow". that was the last time we went there.
Bring Mambo's back..

Mambos was great, before the new management came in and changed things around. Now, customers who prefer outdoor seating must walk into the cafe, and order their meals, drinks, desserts at the counter. Whats the point of the waiters then??
The old management was much better and the design of the cafe was more relaxing and inviting. Now the place looks like a hospital. I love mambo's, my girlfriends and i go there weekly for a catch-up/gossip session, its atmosphere and food are great, but i miss the old mambo's =[
