For lovers of pure organic sour dough, plain, rye, fruit you name it, you,ve just got to go to this bakery. Even if you've never indulged in it, time you lived & tried something new. Dare ya.
I'm a real fan of this kind of bread and thought the only place worth a mention was Stellas Pasta in Daylesford. We have been buying sour dough bread, rolls, pasta there for years until we stumbled across Redbeard Bakery, Tremtham. We indulged big time and bought some to take home, yummy. The ones who bake the bread are the ones who serve you to boot. It's very earthy and we loved it. We also had coffee, hot & iced too. The service was great, they had papers, all kinds, all current.
Stay awhile & chill out, smell the aroma of fresh sour dough cooking, aahhh, nothing like it.
Ps. If you've never had sour dough before, it's way more expensive than your Coles special, but you can only eat a little so it lasts...(unless you are addicted!)
