They have opened upstairs and you still can't get in without phoning ahead.
their portions aren't huge but the flavour is there we have loads of Indian available in geelong but if we can't getin at Khan we go Thai.

I don't think you can really go wrong with good quality food with great prices!
I'm personally a fan of the lunch time deal - $8 for a selection of curries in mild, medium or hot (one veg, one 'meat', one chicken) with rice and a drink. The dishes are the specials of the day, and I'm yet to be disappointed with the selections. Previous reviews are right - it doesnt' look much from the outside, but there's plenty of room and the staff are friendly.
There are plenty of Indian restaurants in Geelong, but this is the best lunch-time deal I've found.
Trying again.. hoping all will be well?

I've stayed away from Khan because I've had so-so lunchtime experiences. I've found the portions too small. And one time I came home looking forward SO much to digging into my lamb curry only to find it was chicken. When I rang them to tell them they'd given me the wrong curry, the gentleman laughed.. and said he'd give me another curry the next time I came in. I didn't think it was funny because I'd been craving a lamb curry for a long time. I'd spent the day in town.. was hot and flustered with the Christmas crowds... and couldn't be bothered making the trip back. It's just been easier to go to other Indian eateries because the choice is there. However, I have a dinner to attend this week at the Khan Curry Hut.. so I'll see how they go. I've eaten at 'Cloves' two doors down and really enjoyed the food. I found the waiters to be way too attentive though.. and I felt like saying "Can I have some space to breeeathe please?"....
Travis' mate is right!

Recently a new Indian restaurant opened two doors down from Khan Curry Hut. It's empty, Khan Curry Hut is packed with customers, and deservedly so!
Khan's popularity is the only negative - sometimes it is difficult to get in, sometimes there's a wait for the takeaways, though they will warn you if this is so.
It's worth the wait! The food is sensational, service is attentive, I have no qualms about returning, in fact our dining out decisions are usually phrased as "Khan, or ..."
Unparalleled!
Never been here...

Khan Curry Hut does a bustling trade for good reason: top-notch Indian served quickly and with all the trimmings.
From the moment we walked into this restaurant I was surprised at how busy it is - from the outside it looks a little poky but inside the dining room is relatively large and full of people noisily enjoying themselves. We were lucky to get a table without having booked, and lucky is the right word - it was one of the best nights out I've had recently.
The meals are all the standard Indian curries you love - things like korma, vindaloo, authentic tandoori and many others, including plenty of vegetarian options. We tried a Lamb Korma and Lamb Masala, which came out in endearing little metal bowls that make sharing easy, and they were both so perfectly flavoured that even thinking of them now is making my mouth water. The naan bread was melt-in-your-mouth soft and the mango lassis went down a treat too.
Staff are attentive and friendly, the service is quick and the décor is minimal and slightly grungy, but quite sufficient. They are apparently going to open the upstairs section as extra dining soon, which means you won't have as much trouble finding a seat. Definitely worth it!
