I read the above review before dining at the Jade Princess last night and was pleasantly suprised when the drinks service was great, the entrees were terrific and the main courses arrived steaming hot, tasty, beautifully cooked and well presented. Well, almost all the mains. In fact, everything except the rice, which, despite repeated representations, was conspicuously absent until we had almost cleared the plates. We left a little of the juices to soak it up when it finally arrived. Chinese food sans rice is not the same, I assure you, and it was galling to see plates of fried rice being taken to other tables while we remained without. OK, that's the only bad bit, and despite it, we'll go back. The apologies were genuine, and the mix-up apparently caused by an unexpectedly large Sunday night crowd. But add our experience to the one above and the proprietors, if they take the trouble to read these reviews, will know where their problems may lie. But it is certainly not in the quality of the food, nor in the atmosphere,the decor or the attitude of the staff.

I love the food here and it is the same quality every time. The others I have brought along have also really enjoyed the food.Unfortunatley the service sometimes lets the place down. It is such a shame.They will take your order and bring the first drinks but don't come by to ask if more drinks are required thoughout the evening till they offer tea/coffee after dessert.The staff are very nice but they don't come over often enough.I kep going back though as I really like the way they cook the food. I have never been disappointed.
