I took my brother out to lunch at the Grill part of the restaurant recently on a visit to Melbourne. Lower key than the upstairs part, but the setting was delightful and the food exceptionally good. The small menu was well chosen and made inspired use of fresh produce. Excellent wine list.
The staff seemed a little rushed but were very professional (and our waiter broke a wine glass at our table, though he handled it well). We managed to squeeze in without a reservation on a Friday lunchtime, but the place was bustling with an up-market crowd of suits and I'd definitely recommend booking ahead.

This is definitely one of the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to, and the meal and atmosphere matches the high prices. Everything is perfect, from the way the tablecloths and cutlery are laid out to the waiters and waitresses that that would do anything for you with a smile. Prices are expensive but if you're after something special this is definitely somewhere to consider.
