Celebrity chef Fast Eddy Halmagyi will show off his swift culinary skills at the 17th annual Grampians Grape Escape The Food and Wine Festival to be held from May 3-4 in Halls Gap.
Foodies will be treated to two daily cooking demonstrations by Eddy, where hell inspire time-poor fans of Grampians food and wine to whip up a delicious meal with minimum fuss.
Eddy will slightly slow the pace to oversee preparations for the classy three-course Festival Dinner, which comprises a menu of fresh regional produce complemented by fabulous Grampians wines.
Event organiser Mike DiLisio said fans of Channel 7s Better Homes and Gardens shouldnt miss the opportunity to see Fast Eddy in action.
Eddys main desire is to show people how quick and easy it is to cook - even restaurant-style meals, said Mr DiLisio.
Hell be an energetic addition to this years Grampians Grape Escape program, which aims to showcase exquisite food and wine that is made right here in Western Victoria.
After 17 years, the Grampians Grape Escape The Food and Wine Festival is still going strong.
Around 6,000 visitors are expected to drink and graze their way around the Halls Gap Recreation Reserve with the majestic Grampians National Park as the back-drop.
There will be around 100 exhibitors including winemakers and producers of olive oil, lentils, fruit and berries, yabbies, gourmet sausages, organic produce, venison, turkey, ice-cream, honey, teas, preserves, herbs and gluten-free food.
Highlights include a Barrique Wine Auction of a Shiraz blended from several of the regions finest wineries, hot air balloon rides by the RAAF, as well as live music and fun for the kids.
The event also coincides with the judging of Garden Gully Winerys Scarecrows in the Vineyard competition and the Scarecrows Picnic.
